A&E's main objective: Get Candy

The kids are nearly 2 years old now, and getting into everything. In this clip, it becomes painfully clear that our initial decision to deprive them of exposure to sugary sweets has potentially backfired. They both act like rabid addicts when the word "candy" is even mentioned. Ada calls it "Anyuh", doesn't sound all that much like the actual word. And Ethan at this point seems to follow suit with whatever his more verbal sister says. Another interesting note: They both know how to say please and thank you in sign language, and in the clip you can see ada frantically signing the word "please" in eager anticipation of the M&M's. There are actually two things they both get extremely excited about: Candy and Elmo. Thank you Jim Henson for keeping my kids occupied whenever I need to take a break from the madness. I never fully understood the marketing power of those annoying furry animals until now. It's all elmo, all the time.

yeah, Elmo loves my hard earned cash is what he loves.
